A free write is when you take a topic and then you would set a timer for five
minutes and then write what comes into your mind about that topic. I did one of these for school and my topic was Thessalonians 3:13. After I wrote my free write I was inspired to write a short article on the topic. I think this is an important verse to remember and think about in your day to day life.
In Thessalonians 3:13 it says, “Do not grow weary of doing good”. There are times when we are tempted to do what we know is wrong. You may think no one is watching, no one would would know. God is watching. God knows. He is watching every moment in your life, the good moments and the bad ones.
Everyone has a choice of doing what is right or what is wrong. We may blame something on someone else or lie about what we did but we are always responsible for our actions and no one else is.
Jesus has called us to do what is right and follow in his steps. Jesus even loved the people who hated him. He died for them too and he died for you so that you could have eternal life (John 3:16).
We once were watching a sermon and the pastor said that we should be the same person that we are in private as we are in public. Meaning we shouldn’t act one way in public and then act another when we are at home or by our self. We should be honest about who we are.
Sometimes it is very hard to what is what is right. There are times when a friend or family member is doing something we know is wrong and we do it with them anyway. Jesus was with a lot of people who’ve sinned and he still never sinned once.
None of us are perfect but you can still do what is right and do your best to follow Jesus’ path. We may mess up a lot but you can repent and do better. God will never turn away from you; you have to just knock on the door and it will be opened (Matthew 7:7).
